After logging in, select the phone that you would like to switch from. In this case, we have a Motorola E815 that we want to disconnect and switch. Click "Next".
For this step, Verizon will ask you to back up your contacts. There will be one of two possible outcomes. If your phone is any one of the types listed below, click to find out how to back up your contacts. If it is not one of the types listed, Verizon will ask you to use their own "Backup Assistant". After the backup is done, click "Next".
Finally, Verizon will now ask you to enter your device's Identification Number. After entering the number click "Submit".
If you entered your device's Identification Number correctly you will have one of three possible outcomes. Follow the links below to see an example of each.
The screenshot below is an example of a successful activation.
The phone you are trying to activate will require a change to your Messaging/Data plan. In most cases, you will get this screen if you are switching from a basic phone to a smart phone or vice versa.
*Generally, smart phones (Windows, Android, iPhone, BlackBerry) will require a data plan with your carrier. Basic phones (flip-phones, basic input phones, etc.) do not require a data plan. If you are unsure, please contact your carrier.
There are two possible outcomes for lost or stolen. Verizon will instruct you to call their Customer Service. If this is a JustCellularStore.com phone, please contact us immdiately.
You will get these messages if it is a Casio G'zOne phone without a camera.
